Yowie Awards $1000 to Local Third Grade Class

Yowie presented Ms. Park’s third grade class with a $1,000 check and provided Yowie to Rockford Christian Elementary.

(NEW YORK) October 31, 2022 – After putting the call out to elementary teachers in the northern Illinois region to create a short video sharing facts, interesting information, or an art project about their favorite endangered animals, Yowie has found a winner! Ms. Park’s third grade class at Rockford Christian Elementary shared an art project about protecting sea turtles and took home the grand prize of $1000 for their classroom and Yowie for the whole school!

What is a Yowie? “I’m so excited to use this money to enhance our STEM and science lessons,” Mrs. Park said. “This is more than I usually get to think about, so I’m not sure what specifically I’ll spend it on, but we can always use more books!”
